Stephen started mowing in his neighborhood as a ten year boy in the spring of 1976 in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. In 1979 he moved to Meridian, Mississippi where he continued to mow for neighbors and also started to mow businesses. In 1982, he came back to Hopkinsville where he worked in restaurant management for ten years, all the while continuing to provide lawncare on a small scale. With the experiences of management and lawn care, Stephen decided to pursue lawn care on a larger scale full time in February of 1996. In the first year of operation, his new business enterprise struggled to break into the industry. Through persistence, hard work and reliability the business grew from a one man operation to a 4 crew, 10 man operation by the end of 2001.With the tremendous company growth and the extensive amount of equipment, the crews barely had enough time to maintain and repair the equipment. We were forced to consider hiring a full-time service technician for our lawncare division. In researching the idea of doing our own warranty work, we quickly realized that we could offer this service to the public as well. This became a reality in September 2001, when we began setting up Lawncutters Equipment Sales And Service at 484 North Drive in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Then in 2005 we sold the mowing division and moved the equipment sales and service to 1880 Pembroke Rd. This gave us 3 times the building space to help us with the rapid growth we was seeing. Also in 2005 we became a Kohler expert dealer, Echo Pro Performance dealer and three of us became OPEESA 4 stroke Certified.Our business has grown to this point because of expert service that we strive to provide to our customers each day. Our customers are a valuable asset and we always try to learn new ways to improve our services to the highest level of professionalism.In addition, for items under warranty, we provide manufacturer’s warranty servicefor the following products:Briggs &Stratton,Tecumseh, Kohler,Kawasaki,Honda, Scag, Echo,RedmaxPoulan/Weedeater,Homelite, AYP, Toro, Lawnboy and Murrayand much more.
